Flagstaff, AZ Is BURNING DOWN!!

So yesterday while driving to a basketball game we noticed a plume of smoke and were trying to guess where it was coming from. When we saw it, it didn’t look like much maybe a control burn or a small controllable fire. As the day progressed it was no longer a small harmless fire. Here is the story on this fire. It was big looking but by the end of the day it looked like it was almost out so big fire #1 for close to town.

There has been a really big fire out by parks, which is close to Williams for a while now. It was not as threatening as there is no real big town or anything near there. It has burnt 6000 acres and is still burning last I heard. So far only two out buildings have burnt because of it. That’s good!!

Now as I find out from other people there is a HUGE fire that is on the North side of mount Elden, which is really close to my house! It started at about 11:00 this morning and is burning out of control and has been since then. The last update I have gotten was that it has burnt down 50 acres and is spreading very fast!! All I can say on this Fathers Day is THANK YOU to all the brave fathers that are working on these fires today and this week instead of spending it with your family!! It really means a lot to me and Flagstaff that you are keeping us safe!!!
