Blog venting

KNITTING
The needles pulling
In and out
In and out
Like bumble bees
Playing games
In a field
Swerving, dodging,
Floating,
Faster
Faster
STOP!
Turn around
Go back
Step through time
Allow yourself
To be wrapped
In a blanket of memories
Holding tightly
Keeping you safe
Look
Through the lines
Spaces
Reflection
Life
Floating
Dancing
A swift waltz
Looping around
A sturdy base
Strong
Solid
Holding you together
Only a few simple mistakes
Easily fixed
A scraped knee
Kissed away
By the warm lips
Of a loving mother
Slide
Stab
Work through
Run past hurt
Move
A snake
Winding its way
Through
Crisp
Fresh
Dewdrop covered
Grass
Slither
Smoothly
Slyly
Quietly
Pass vast spaces
Filled with wonder and awe
Floating to the top
Like
An extravagant
Color filled butterfly
Full
Of beauty and glory
Floating
On clouds of whim
Let the charisma of life
Take you to places unknown
Smooth,
The motion pulls
Taking you through
Gliding off a cliff
In a dream
The sensation
Of falling
Only to be swiftly scooped up
By an invisible
Tender
Soft
Comforting hand
Find yourself
Sailing
On the top
White fluffy clouds
Highlighted
By golden rays
Of warm
Familiar
Comforting
Sunshine
Wrapping itself onto
A new beginning
Awaiting
Excitement
Tomorrow’s adventure
Stepping away
From the chaos
Finding yourself
Lost
In colors
Swirling
Whirling
Twirling around
A dizzying game
A masterpiece lies
Satisfaction overcomes
A wave crashes
Sparkling sane
Blue
Yellow
Red
Green
Mixed
So delicately
Producing extravagant
Breathtaking
Pictures
Grandma’s warm blueberry pie
Ruby red lipstick
Lemon bars sprinkled delicately with powder sugar
Fresh cut grass on a hot summer day
A masterpiece
A story
All from a single stitch

I think i caught a case of blog venting.
When you use your blog to get your thoughts and emotions out.
Yeah, you caught me!

Well something I know about myself is that when things involve my emotions I can't express myself clearly.
In fact it has gotten to the point where it is involved in my school work as well.
I wrote the above poem as a Junior in high school three years ago
now i don't necessarily want to know if you think its good or not but i thought it was pretty dang good
and i have come to accept that the only reason it was good
was because it had absolutely no emotional ties to me
it was a challenge
my teacher said that no one would want to read a poem about knitting
so to stick it to her
i wrote a decent poem about knitting :)

My heart hurts
and its my fault
and now Band-Aids don't help
in fact I don't know what will help
